But more than that, you’ll leave with a reminder: you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to celebrate, gather your people, or savor what you’ve created. the project
Wine is about gathering. A way to mark a moment, share stories, and savor the present.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll build your own custom wine caddy—a piece that’s equal parts functional and full of meaning.
We’re partnering with Saddle Hill, a local winery known for good pours and warm community. Your finished piece will hold a bottle and two glasses — ready for your next celebration, big or small.
Whether you’re toasting to a milestone, craving connection, or just want to build something beautiful with your own two hands, this is for you.
the process
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:
Assemble, sand, and stain wood to build a sturdy wine caddy using power tools —you’ll get to customize the finish to match your style
Add handles and details that make your piece both beautiful and functional
Work with intention — choosing touches that reflect how you love to gather and celebrate
Includes a glass of wine and time to enjoy the beautiful Saddle Hill venue
You’ll leave with:
A custom wine caddy ready to hold your favorite bottle and glasses
Foundational woodworking skills and the confidence to keep building
A reminder that celebration doesn’t have to wait—sometimes you just have to make space for it
Whether it’s your first DIY or your fiftieth, this is a chance to work with your hands, honor the joy of gathering, and create something that makes everyday moments feel special.
You've got questions. We've got answers.
You’ll be creating a custom wine caddy — built by you from start to finish. We’ll walk you through the full process: assembling the wood, sanding it smooth, adding handles, and finishing it with your choice of stain.
This piece is perfect for displaying your favorite bottle and glasses, hosting with style, and turning any evening into a little celebration.
All materials, tools, safety gear, light snacks & drinks...and good vibes are provided.
You’ll also get a pre-event download with tips, inspo, and a mini creative prompt to help you arrive ready to maike.
Plus a follow-up section with all the details + products we used.
Plan on 2.5 to 3 hours—enough time to build something meaningful without rushing the magic
Workshops are hands-on, so we recommend wearing clothes you’re comfortable moving in—and don’t mind getting a little messy.
We provide aprons for an extra layer of protection and style, but paint splatters and sawdust are always a possibility (and part of the fun).
If you're planning to snap a few photos of your finished project, consider picking something that feels both comfy and photo-ready—because you’re gonna want to show off what you made.
Absolutely. Making is more fun with company. Just make sure they grab their own ticket—we prep materials based on registrations.
No worries — some of our workshops involve power tools, and some don’t. Beginners are more than welcome. You’ll get hands-on guidance in a supportive, no-judgment zone, and we’ll make sure you feel confident and safe.
Heads up: for any workshop involving tools, you'll need to sign a quick safety waiver before we get started. Nothing scary—just part of making sure everyone stays safe while they maike.
If you have specific needs, please reach out—we want to make sure everyone feels safe and supported!
This particular workshop is for adults or teens 16+ with an adult. If you’re interested in a family-friendly version, let me know—we’ve got ideas brewing.

— THE SPACE —
VOORHEES TWP, NJ
Saddle Hill is a scenic winery in South Jersey with a story that stretches back centuries. Once known as Stafford Farm—land originally granted by George Washington in 1773—it was home to generations of the Stafford family who grew crops and raised champion horses.
Today, Saddlehill honors that legacy while creating something new: a place where community, agriculture, and relaxation meet. With vineyards, a farm-to-table restaurant, and a farmhouse market, Saddlehill is more than a winery—it’s a destination to savor good wine, connect with local heritage, and feel part of something lasting.
