Hosting a Workshop with MAIKE

You've got questions. We've got answers.

what kinds of spaces work best for a workshop?

We’ve hosted workshops in shops, studios, cafés, restaurants, plant stores, and even backyard patios. The main things we need are:

  • Enough table space for 12–35 people to work comfortably

  • Good lighting (natural is a bonus!)

  • Access to outlets if we’re using power tools

  • A welcoming vibe and a little room for creative exploration

what do you provide? // what do we need to provide?

We bring the tools, materials, and project magic. You provide the space, any staffing you want on-site, and (if applicable) the food, drinks, or retail offerings you want to highlight. We’ll collaborate to make sure it all flows smoothly.

how long is the workshop?

Most workshops run 2–3 hours depending on the project.

We’ll talk timing when we plan your event so it fits naturally into your space and schedule.

what kinds of projects do you offer?

We offer a variety of creative, beginner-friendly projects—from furniture flips to mini builds to mosaic trays and more. We can make projects with or without power tools.

We also love dreaming up custom project ideas that tie into your space, story, or vibe. Let’s get creative!

how far in advance do we need to plan?

We recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks in advance to give us time to plan, source materials, and promote.

That said, if you're working with a shorter timeline, reach out anyway—we may have availability.

can we make it a private or ticketed event?

Yes! We offer both ticketed public workshops and private events tailored to your team, customers, or community. All workshops are booked through maikemagic.com, and tickets are sold directly by us—so you don’t need to worry about registration logistics.

If you’d prefer to offer a free, come-and-go style experience (great for open house events or customer appreciation days), we can create a simplified project format for that. Just note: these events must be sponsored by the host brand, since we won’t be selling tickets to cover materials.

can we offer something special during the event?

Yes! We love when hosts want to enhance the experience with on-site magic. You’re welcome to add your own flair, like:

  • A welcome drink or custom cocktail

  • A seasonal treat or light bites

  • Store discounts or special shopping perks (for purchases made during the event)

  • A custom playlist or photo op station

Want to feature a product, playlist, or partnership? We’re into it—just let us know so we can integrate it seamlessly into the vibe and flow of the event.

can we collaborate on promotion?

Yes—and we offer a few ways to make it work for your goals.

All ticketed workshops include basic event promotion through our channels (Instagram, email list, and website calendar), including a callout to your space and any relevant details.

If you'd like more tailored social media features—like behind-the-scenes reels, space highlights, or shoutouts outside of the event itself—we offer a Co-Promotion Add-On that includes customized coverage and extended reach.

We also offer a Content Creation Add-On for brands who want high-quality photos and/or short-form video captured during the event. This is a great way to get content you can repurpose for social media, newsletters, or future marketing. We’ll provide you with a folder of edited assets you can use however you like.

what’s the investment?

There’s no flat rate to host—we co-create each event based on scope, attendance, and format (see Can we make it a private or ticketed event? for more details!)

We offer add-ons like content capturing so you can leverage amazing photos and videos from the event in your marketing efforts.
