Hands-On Creativity, Rooted in Real Connection.

Maike private workshops are fully customizable, beginner-friendly, and designed to help your group make something real (and really cool).

You’ll walk away with hands-on skills, a finished project, and that magic feeling that comes from building something with your own two hands.

These gatherings are more than just DIY projects—they’re containers for connection, creativity, and confidence. Guests leave with something they made and a part of themselves they reconnected with in the process.

Each experience is thoughtfully tailored to your space, your story, and your community—so the vibe feels just as intentional as the setting.

FAQs

what kinds of events do you do?

Private Gatherings are perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes, girls’ nights, creative parties, or just an excuse to gather your people and make something meaningful.

We can also partner for team-building events, club meetups, or family hangs— if it’s a group and a vibe, we’re in.

what's included?

All materials, tools, safety gear...and good vibes are provided.

You’ll also get a pre-event download with tips, inspo, and a mini creative prompt to help you arrive ready to maike.

Plus a follow-up section with all the details + products we used.

We can also coordinate food and drinks as an add-on.

how many people can I invite?

Most workshops work best with 12–18 people, but we can chat about scaling up or down depending on your space and the project. If you’re not sure, just ask — we’re flexible.

what kinds of projects can we make?

We offer many beginner-friendly builds, like:

  • House Number Planters

  • Mosaic Trays

  • Custom Wall Shelves

  • Personalized Wood Signs

  • Wine caddys / Wine Racks

  • …or something custom just for your group.

We’ll guide you through choosing the right one based on your event vibe, group size, and experience level.

do I need a special space to host?

Not at all! We’ve done workshops in kitchens, backyards, living rooms, retail spaces, and community centers.

If you’ve got a space where folks can sit, build, and get a little messy—we can make it work.

Need help finding a venue? We’ve got local connections.

how long is the workshop?

Plan on 2.5 to 3 hours—enough time to build something meaningful without rushing the magic

what should attendees wear?

Workshops are hands-on, so we recommend wearing clothes you’re comfortable moving in—and don’t mind getting a little messy.

We provide aprons for an extra layer of protection and style, but paint splatters and sawdust are always a possibility (and part of the fun).

If you're planning to snap a few photos of your finished project, consider picking something that feels both comfy and photo-ready—because you’re gonna want to show off what you made.

what if I’ve never used power tools before?

No worries — some of our workshops involve power tools, and some don’t. For projects like mosaic trays, you won’t need them. But when we do bust out the tools, beginners are more than welcome. You’ll get hands-on guidance in a supportive, no-judgment zone, and we’ll make sure you feel confident and safe.

Heads up: for any workshop involving tools, you'll need to sign a quick safety waiver before we get started. Nothing scary—just part of making sure everyone stays safe while they maike.

is this workshop accessible?

If you have specific needs, please reach out—we want to make sure everyone feels safe and supported!

can kids come?

This particular workshop is for adults or teens 16+ with an adult. If you’re interested in a family-friendly version, let me know—we’ve got ideas brewing.
